Multiple cue files referring to the same physical music file

Hi all,

am not sure if this is by design but I have the next issue:

 

I have created 2 cue files both pointing to the same physical file (all 3 are placed within the same folder).

 

Poweramp after rescan/fullscan  finds either the first cue or the second but never both at the same time.

 

Is there anything I can do to make it work (show both cue files)?

 

I must say that when the cue point to a different physical file the all is as expected.

I wonder if it's possibly being treated as a duplicate file? Have you checked Settings > Folders and Library > Lists > Don't Add Duplicates ?

i have checked your suggestion but problem is still present.

Some more info :

When viewing the folder list,

pressing rescan shows the first time one cue folder. pressing again rescan, replaces the cue folder shown before with a new one.

Are both CUE files in the same folder? Could you try putting one into a different folder maybe? (you'd need to edit the path line to point correctly to the main file though).

This is what i have tried:

 

(only the below are under Music folder)

 

File structure:

/storage/emulated/0/Music/main/my.mp3

/storage/emulated/0/Music/sub1/cue01.cue

 

Contents of cue01.cue:

TITLE "ALBUM 01"

FILE  "/storage/emulated/0/Music/main/my.mp3" MP3

TRACK 01 AUDIO

INDEX 01 00:50:00

TITLE "TRACK 14"

TRACK 02 AUDIO

INDEX 01 10:51:00

TITLE "TRACK 15"

 

With the above file structure,

cue folder does not appear.

 

 

If i move the cue file to the same location as the mp3:

 

/storage/emulated/0/Music/main/my.mp3

/storage/emulated/0/Music/main/cue01.cue

 

or even

 

/storage/emulated/0/Music/sub1/my.mp3

/storage/emulated/0/Music/sub1/cue01.cue

(without changing cue file contents) 

 

then cue folder shows and plays fine.

 

 

Any idea what am doing wrong?
