Songs put in Queue are sped up/changed? Nexus 7 2013

Android 4.4.2 Stock ROM

I have a weird issue where I put a song in a Que (Hold and then tap "Enqueue") and after being played, the song sounds terrible and the pitch and time have changed. It's happened to every song I've tried and I tried playing the same song files on computer and in other players and seems that the song file is permanently changed. I find this a little bit odd and was wondering if anyone can help.
