System library?

Hi All,

I am brand new to Android and I'm trying to find a music player that is better than the default player (which stinks). Poweramp seems to be what I'm looking for, however, I may not understand how it works yet...or how the Andriod system works. Not sure which. I'm having a problem getting Poweramp to recognize my music when I set it to 'Library' mode, as opposed to 'Folders' mode. When I select Folders, I do see all of my music; as individual folders, and I can play the files. That's not quite what I'm looking for. When I select System (System Library) it presents categories for Album, Artist, Genre, etc., which is exactly what I'm looking for. However, no music shows up. The default music player sees all of my music, and knows about artist, genre, album, and so on, so I would assume that it's in the 'System library'. Perhaps I don't understand what System library means. I suppose what I'm trying to find out is; how do I get Poweramp to see music in my system library? Thanks for any help.

Edit - Sorry, probably should've noted my phone and Android version: HTC Incredible, with Android 2.2.

I _guess_ I solved this. Although it seems like it should've worked before. Anyway, my music WAS on the internal storage. I moved the music to the SD card, and now it shows up under 'Library'. Still, shouldn't I be able to have the music where ever I want?
