windy
Hello, when I open the menu item "Music Folders" in "Folders and Library", a popup appears which tells me that a scan for music folders is done. However, this scan never finishes, so I am unable to select any folders. Playing files from the folders which are found automatically works perfectly. My device is a Samsung Galaxy S2 with Cyanogenmod 10.1.3 (Android 4.2.2). I tested it with the current Poweramp 2.0.9 (Build 541).

cristianpark
I have about 1200 songs on my MicroSD and when I try to choose folders to play from it takes a while (not so much but it's noticeable). It seems that you try to scan for audio files but maybe you should only list folders so one can quickly choose the folders wanted.
@Poweramp2
You're free to turn off Auto-rescan if that helps.
tajnymag
I have similar problem but for me it just loads and loads and nothing happen. It works seamlessly in different players so it's not fault of SD card. I even turned the auto-scan off and nothing changed. Please help. andrewilley
Have you limited the Music Folders setting so it only tries to scan a few folders rather than you whole system? Andre
tajnymag
Have you limited the Music Folders setting so it only tries to scan a few folders rather than you whole system?AndreYes, we tried to select just some folders. The problem is that we CAN'T select the folders. The loading of the folder tree is broken. We can leave it for hours and won't see any folder to select. Other music players work just fine with my SD card so it shouldn't be corrupted.

andrewilley
Try removing the SD Card and see if Poweramp is then able to load and scan the local device files OK, to find out if it is the SD Card or some other file scanning issue that is happening. caustic386
i'm also having this issue - ever since I upgraded my SD card from 16GB to 128GB, I cannot select folders to scan. Poweramp reports "some storage is not mounted" and usually won't even see the files on the card. Do they need to be in a specific subfolder? Apollo and Neutron see the files (and plays them) just fine where they are.
andrewilley
Go to Poweramp Settings > Folders and Library > Music Folders and see if the folder where your music is located is visible and ticked in the list. Andre
GoldenRecord
I am having this exact same problem, except I cannot load any music on my device. I've done several app uninstalls to see if the problem would go away but it has not. All my music is able to load on other players besides Poweramp. Using the latest version.EDIT: Apon opening Poweramp, it continuosly scans for folders and will not alloe me to import any system playlists I have. flyingdutchman
Poweramp does not see smb/cifs shares. I have been told it will be in the next release
andrewilley
If your shared folders are visible in Poweramp Settings > Folders and Library > Music Folders then you should tick them in there, but otherwise you won't be able to access those folders. Orangeiain
Thanks|Guys, much as I thought, I will need to find a player on Android that will access those files. Iain
flyingdutchman
Xenoamp will show attached drives. However I found it a bit too experimental. It is more an ego trip by a very talented programmer. Keywords are smb or cifs shares.
