peter12345
I have a HTC desire C with Poweramp, can it play 24bit 96000 flac with no downsampling. Can it output 24 bit 96 000 sound through the output? I also have an Archos Titanium 101, but I cannot install Poweramp in it for compatibility reasons though I have bought Poweramp. Why is this? Any answer would be appreciated as it took me a while to get registered here to ask this question. peter12345
I have emailed Archos USA and I got no reply but this is not related to Poweramp but about playing 24 bit flac. Magadaner
Current Poweramp has 144khz limit for flacs. Such flacs generally resampled by Poweramp to device output sampling rate (44.1 / 48 khz). Also, suchhigh rate files are not generally recommended for portable devices (due to x4-x5 cpu/battery consumption), still, we already changed that sample frequency limit to 256khz in current Poweramp dev. builds,so with the next update such high sample rate files will be played by Poweramp. peter12345
Thanks for the answer, I will look forward to the next update. I am also guessing that many other people will be looking forward to this update and giving more respect to Poweramp as I know Poweramp plays music independent of the android system using its own codecs. I have done some research. Till the next update. Link to comment https://forum.powerampapp.com/topic/4906-24-bit-flac/#findComment-19277 Share on other sites
