funkl3 Posted November 13, 2012 Share Posted November 13, 2012 I'm using an HTC rezound and a fiio E5 with my Shure 440 Headphones and can tell you that you do get a sound quality gain, but in my personal experience it wasn't quite the significant boost that I thought it would be. However, I did try a friends Audio Technica headphones that are very bass heavy on some bass heavy music and there was a dramatic increase. Maybe with a higher end amp I would have seen drastic improvements in both cases, but that was just my personal experience. Hope that helps at least a bit!
