Adolfotregosa
Like title says.Add convolution support.Since android phones are getting so much powerful these days ... I bet this would probably be the feature of the year for Poweramp!Just Imagin, you could create convolution filters for your car and have a calibrated sound when using Poweramp.God.. ifans and their " iphone music player is perfect" would really have to swallow their words..Filters could be created with room eq wizard - http://www.hometheatershack.com/roomeq/ (free) or any other available comercial tools ( I personally use audiolense )The resulting wav filter would be loaded on Poweramp convolution engine and music processed realtime.I would pay double what you ask for Poweramp even if you make this has an add-on..Thank you
@Poweramp2
Please explain a bit more, I'm not clear on what you'd like.
Adolfotregosa
Please explain a bit more, I'm not clear on what you'd like.see this video But on this case you can export the filter as a wav file that Poweramp would then process in real time the music your playing. Just like on that video. You can clearly hear the diference with just pink noise. To really understand what I'm talking abouthttp://www.alanjorda...signerHelp.htmlI really really think this would make Poweramp the most powerful music player on any mobile platformThank you
Adolfotregosa
What do you think?? Is it possivel??
@Poweramp2
Honestly, I'm not sure if it's possible, Max is the guy to ask that question to... and if it is, I'm not sure if we'll be able to make it happen for the next release. Nevertheless, we're building a list of requested features... So we'd love for you to add on to that list, once we post it, and so we can see if this can happen. I really hope max accepts the challenge, even if it is not for the next release !
Joe Bloggs
Honestly, I'm not sure if it's possible, Max is the guy to ask that question to... and if it is, I'm not sure if we'll be able to make it happen for the next release. Nevertheless, we're building a list of requested features... So we'd love for you to add on to that list, once we post it, and so we can see if this can happen.I think you guys might have misunderstood what is involved in the request. Convolution can be *used* to support very complicated room correction and speaker/headphone correction applications, but as for the implementation, all that's involved is to run a bog-standard FIR filter using a short user-specified wave file as the filter kernel. For all intents and purposes it's more simple than your current EQ module. No user interface design is needed (all you need is a convolver on-off button and another button to pop up a file browser for selecting the wave file to be used for convolution), no filter design is needed (the program simply takes whatever wave file is given as the filter). As for applications, I have 98 models of headphones optimized for reference sound quality using the convolution module of an existing program that supports convolution, Viper4Android. This program is a perennial top-ranking thread at XDAhttp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2191223and here's my thread with the convolution filtershttp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2372750I would love to see these filters being usable elsewhere on other applications, especially in the event that Viper4Android is eventually deprecated (user interest in the app is high but very little development is going on) (If this feature gets implemented, it would also be handy for the program to display somewhere the frequency at which the audio is being processed. The best place to implement this filter is after the resampling to the Android device's sample rate of 44.1kHz or 48kHz, so users would only need to design one filter for their Android at the matching rate, rather than a different filter for every sample rate of music file.)
