revmike
As the topic indicates I want to buy, but I don't want to open a gmail or google account to do so, if it is absolutely required, I guess I'll have to.
haddy
You will surely need a Google account on your phone even if you not actually buying Poweramp from the Google Play app store.A Google Acc is a prerequisite.
andrewilley
It's one of the very few things I disliked about Android, that the account system not only forced me to have a Google account (which is fair enough) but also insisted I use a gmail address too, which I most definitely did not want. If I'd wanted that kind of restriction, I'd have gone down the tightly-controlled Apple route. However I begrudgingly set one up, just so the phone worked, but I don't use that gmail for anything else at all (and even then it seems to collect spam, curse you Google!)Andre
