revmike
I'm new to the android os. I bought a Cowon A5 Plenue which uses 2.3 gingerbread. The standard music player recognizes album art and song name, but not artist, this is because all my music is aac. So I went looking for an optional player and found Poweramp. The problem is that all of the artists and album music shows in the folders, but not when played. Some of them are fine and others aren't. All my music was encoded through itunes, (not purchased from).
Duarian
I had this problem also, Poweramp and Poweramp alone was splitting up some of my albums. Default music player recognized everything perfectly as was every music player that used the default media storage service. Poweramp split up some of my songs from albums into an 'unknown album/artist/genre' basically the songs had no tags at all. Meanwhile in the default music player and on my PC they all had tags. My tags were manually edited within Itunes, Mp3edit and WMP all to no avail, and it is ALWAYS the same songs.Long story short, you have to edit them one by one and Poweramp will recognize them correctly forever. I sent in support about this a while ago, even sent them an MP3 that had the very issue and I was never responded to. So I took matters into my own hands and spent an hour editing tags, now using Poweramp problem free!
revmike
Thanks for the information. I started editing 1400 tags, I guess it could have been worse, I have over 8000 songs, I'm now down to 1000 left to edit.Poweramp is definately a keeper.
