Year info/ album length data

Is it possible to remove the year info/data from each album without going into each one and deleting, it's info I don't need can live with the number of tracks and album length but would be great to lose that bit, hope I've explained it properly

Settings-> Library-> Lists-> Headers With Meta (toggle off) 

 

Removes that field entirely, the year bit you're stuck with if you want the rest.

The "Headers With Meta" option only controls the header block at the top of lists, not individual songs. 

There is a votable Feature Request to allow editing of the meta data info (along with the Title and Artist-Album lines):

Ok thanks, problem only came when the sd card went rogue and I needed to reinstall, then some album years were wrong as they were downloads and picked up the year from amazon data, really can't be bothered to re check each album as I don't use that feature, funny it works on the Poweramp app but when melodi skin applied it comes back, annoying.

You are correct, the header with meta doesn't toggle off appropriately with Melodi skin.

@andrewilley his screenshot circled the headers with meta section, not the metadata next to each track in a list.

Oops, I misread that. Yes, some skins don't process optional settings from the main menus correctly - although sometimes they offer their own settings instead.
