I wish more people would post useful content here rather than useless trivial nonsense about personal EQ settings on Facebook. andrewilley
@flyingdutchman @MotleyG There seems to be an issue with these forums and some browser types at the moment, possibly since the November InVision update patch (around 17 Nov). Chrome works fine for me on both Android and PC, which is why I hadn't noticed the problem, but Firefox and Edge (on Windows), Samsung Internet (Android), and Safari (iOS) don't. They appear to be missing the CSS layout data or scripted elements, and just show the generic HTML text content. This could explain the reduction in engagement recently. 6b6561
Tested on my Windows 10, Firefox works, Edge & Chrome doesn't. Link to comment https://forum.powerampapp.com/topic/28600-forums-very-quiet-recently/#findComment-133286 Share on other sites
6b6561
Chrome on my Chromebook doesn't work either. Link to comment https://forum.powerampapp.com/topic/28600-forums-very-quiet-recently/#findComment-133287 Share on other sites
6b6561
These issues are newer than 17th of November as I check the forum daily with Chrome on iPhone and that's also broken now. 6b6561
Ran inspect on the page with Chrome on Windows 10 and got a CORB block on the css file. The site is linking to a css file over at https://media.invisioncic.com/r156363/css_built_3/341e4a57816af3ba440d891ca87450ff_framework.css?v=d815db93211731861182 The learn more links to https://www.chromium.org/Home/chromium-security/corb-for-developers/ Edited November 26 by 6b6561 Link to comment https://forum.powerampapp.com/topic/28600-forums-very-quiet-recently/#findComment-133289 Share on other sites
andrewilley
Has been logged with InVision Support. Max reckons the reason some browsers still work is due to caching of the original version of the file, once the cached version expires and needs renewing, it will fail. 6b6561
Not sure if it's a CORB issue or that the css isn't found. Link to comment https://forum.powerampapp.com/topic/28600-forums-very-quiet-recently/#findComment-133291 Share on other sites
MotleyG
So far the only browser working properly for me now is Chrome on my office PC. All other browsers and devices now fail and only show the flattened page. andrewilley
Can everyone check again with the browsers that were failing before please. Looks like it's been resolved on my PC and phone browsers. Loweaul
Met the issue in Via, Xiaomi System Browser and Firefox (all Android) before, it was like kicking in from time to time, thought it was something due to website maintenance 🤣. Edited November 28 by Loweaul Link to comment https://forum.powerampapp.com/topic/28600-forums-very-quiet-recently/#findComment-133332 Share on other sites
andrewilley
@Loweaul No, it was a missing (or non-accessible) CSS file. As long as your browser still held a locally cached copy of the file, the site would work fine. But using a new browser, or as the cached copy of the CSS file expired and needed refreshing, it would fail. Sorted now anyway. w3wilkes
It is now fixed for me. I verified both Chrome and Edge on 2 different PC's and all is good now. The flat unusable presentation has been corrected. Thanks!
