ozan77
Subwoofer Bass Feature should be added and there should be bass options in the application. Link to comment https://forum.powerampapp.com/topic/28571-bass/ Share on other sites
andrewilley
Huh? The included equalizer offers adjustment bands starting as low as 5Hz, and in 32-band mode it then offers 7Hz, 9Hz, 11Hz, 15Hz, 19Hz, 25Hz, 33Hz, etc ... how much more sub-bass do you want? andrewilley
Viper4android is a root application for Android devices, and nothing to do with Poweramp. In fact, it specifically does not allow inclusion within commercial apps as far as I'm aware. MotleyG
@ozan77 Clearly you want something that controls the deeper bass region. Rather than repeating the same thing, can you elaborate on what kind of controls you are thinking about? There are graphic EQ bands available as @andrewilley has already advised. You can get more precise controls for frequency, level, width, and type if you use the parametric EQ instead. On the otther hand if you are just looking for a simple dial, you can change the main frequency of the bass tone control knob. I'm not sure there is much more you can really do here. Although you may need to consider how much boost you can apply before your DAC runs out of dynamic range. andrewilley
JBL's "Pure Bass" is just a marketing phrase, you don't have to turn it on or off. Those earbuds have no subwoofer. 6b6561
The DAC in those are able to equalize the sound, there is three modes that you can set via the remote on the cable... Guess the same could be done by an app. Link to comment https://forum.powerampapp.com/topic/28571-bass/#findComment-133167 Share on other sites

ozan77
There are no adjustment bands in the application. There is no bass decibel setting, that is, to reduce or increase the bass intensity. andrewilley
@ozan77 Your pic is of the Settings menu to configure how the Bass and Treble knobs behave. The actual knobs, and the main EQ sliders, are on the page behind that menu. andrewilley
@ozan77 You appear to have set the lowest EQ slider band to 95Hz. Why? (Unless the view is not fully to the left, but it looks like it is) Settings=>Audio=>Equalizer=>Graphic Equaliser Bands. andrewilley
@ozan77 You have chosen to have 20 slider bands, ranging from 96Hz at the lowest end to 17.5kHz at the top. Seems a very odd choice, I would suggest 20Hz-20kHz at least. You can go lower in the bass end if you like, but you are unlikely to hear it. Also you may find using +/- dB values, rather than %ages, easier (changeable in the next menu screen above). andrewilley
Move the First Frequency setting down to lower than 20Hz if you really want, but earbuds are unlikely to resolve any lower than that (nor are your ears, come to that). I would suggest using more than 10 bands too, as you seem to want fine control. Those are fine, you will now see dB values rather than %. ozan77
Is there a deep bass? What I mean is, I installed Viper4Android fx on my previous rooted device. There was a subwoofer bass. There was a bass decibel and a dynamic bass. Can't these be added to this application? The application is good but it should be developed more, it would be nice if there was dynamic bass, thank you anyway Link to comment https://forum.powerampapp.com/topic/28571-bass/#findComment-133183 Share on other sites
andrewilley
Anything below about 75kHz would considered heading into the subwoofer territory as far as deep bass levels are concerned. You can adjust down as low as 5Hz if you really want - but as you don't have a subwoofer, just relatively basic earbuds, probably something of a moot point. If you want full Viper4Android, you'll need to root your device and install it. What do you mean by "dynamic bass", other than a buzz phrase? Do you mean a setting that increases the bass boost amounts when you are listening at lower volumes?
