ImanolHP123
I recently purchased a hiby DAP, the native player is fine but I enjoy Poweramp more. My question is: is there a way to enable the "perfec bit" of my DAP in Poweramp, like in the hybi music app? andrewilley
Poweramp does not have a "Bit Perfect / Direct" mode which would send the source file data directly to the DAC, as that would prevent a lot of the functionality that Poweramp offers from working - such as the advanced EQ system, other DSP functions, crossfade/gapless, ReplayGain, etc. Even volume control would be disabled by such a function. Currently, all audio passes through Poweramp's internal 32/64 bit float processing engine. There is an existing Feature Request for "output frequency follows source file" though, the purpose of which would be for the Output mode (44.1kHz, 48kHz, 192kHz, etc) to be changed dynamically to match the content of the whatever source file you are currently playing. It's not a trivial task though, as so many devices don't support a full range of frequency settings anyway, or may be using third-party DACs, etc. Also it could introduce some element of noise as a side-effect of the switchover action. It would also preclude crossfade, gapless, etc. Once your forum account has been open for two days you will be able to upvote that feature here: Andre Link to comment https://forum.powerampapp.com/topic/28532-bit-perfect-on-dedicated-music-players-dap/#findComment-132941 Share on other sites
