Suche Ordner

Warum?

Danke

Correct, folders without any audio content are not used by the scanner at all, and will not appear in the flat 'Folders' view. However any subfolders which do have audio content will still be displayed 'Folders Hierarchy' is slightly different: folders that are completely empty of audio content will not be shown unless they have subfolders with content which needs to be available via drill-down.

This is due to the fact that Library is really only holding the song file details, and the interface ability to view songs in a folder-style layout is not the same as a fully implemented File Explorer, it's just a different option for viewing the Library songs.

There are a few unintended repercussions to this logic though. One that I noticed was with per-folder List Options (such as the playback position memory features). The List Options settings are only retained as long as that folder continues to have audio content, and if you temporarily delete all the files then your chosen List Options settings will vanish too (as the empty folder name no longer exists in the Library). This is annoying with, for example, a weekly podcasts folder for which you wish to use the Per-Track Store/Restore memory option as the shows may be two hours long, but once you've listened to the final podcast in the folder and deleted it, the settings will vanish too and need re-creating when next week's show gets downloaded for listening. I get around this by leaving a small dummy audio file in each Podcast folder, but that does make the lists a bit messy.

Warum?
In den Einstellungen habe ich Ordnerhierarchie ausgewählt.
Die Ansicht alle Ordner ist unübersichtlich.
Ich habe ca.6000 Titel in 350 Ordner.
Teilweise habe ich Ordner so angelegt:
……Artist/Album/Titel.mp3
Poweramp wirft alles in eine große Liste.

danke

In plain 'Folders' mode, all folders that directly contain audio content are displayed in one long list so you don't have to drill-down several times to find content. You can sort the flattened list in several ways depending on your preference. Folder names that ONLY contain other subfolders (no music files) are not shown in this mode as there would be no point because they would be empty if opened so they would only extend the long list pointlessly.

In 'Folders Hierarchy' mode, the display is much more like a regular file explorer layout. You start at the top level with just a few folders showing, and then drill-down into subfolder after subfolder. Folders containing only subfolders are shown becase you need them in order to get to the lower levels, but folders with no usable music content and no subfolders will not be shown (again, it would be pointless as nothing would be displayed if you opened them).

I prefer to use Folders Hierarchy personally, as although it takes a few more clicks to find the content I'm after, I don't have a 500+ folder list to scroll through.
