Amirhamdy45
I use an app that embedd timed lyrics into songs and it works using an lrc format but it also supports embedding directly to files , the timing is done sentence by sentence so if a sentence is spoken by the artists it gets highlighted in Poweramp or other music players that support this type of lyrics , i adjust each sentence accuratly by seconds and milliseconds to appear on time and it does on the editor app and i tried gonemad music player and lyrics show on time too , the problem is with powersmp there is 1 second or more delay until the next sentence is highlighted and i don't is it because of smooth transitions? But i don't think so anyways it is a bug and i tries with both the editor app that also have an audio player and gonemad music player and they all showed each sentence accurately idk whats wrong here , the wierd thing is that in some songs it works more accurately than others despite using the same app Edited September 30 by Amirhamdy45
andrewilley
Is there an offset tag within the lyric data? Also do you have a default offset value set in PA Settings=>Look and Feel=>Lyrics. Andre
maxmp
@Amirhamdy45 the delay also depends on overall audio pipeline latency. Poweramp can compensate own latencies and the Android + BT latency as reported by the system. Some devices may lie about it, but you can adjust it via appropriate Poweramp setting (search for "Latency" "Delay" in settings).
Solution andrewilley Posted September 30 Solution Share Posted September 30 13 minutes ago, maxmp said: search for "Latency" in settings Searching for "delay" might be more useful, or just look in the currently active Output device's settings screen. I had forgotten there are extra delay options in there to compensate for audio path lags. Andre
