Do you mean to transpose the frequency range of an entire song down by one octave? No idea why you'd want to do that, but it sounds like the requested Pitch control would probably achieve that for you, if it's feasible to add it to the Equlaizer app too.

@andrewilley @GallardoFk those kinds of sound manipulation (tempo changes and pitch changes) butcher sound completely, so while this can be useful for e.g. podcasts and other spoken content, the pitch change is completely out of the scope of high quality music player - that's why it's not implemented. There are still requests like that and if voted appropriately this can be added.

@maxmp Most of the Pitch change requests tend to fall into the 432Hz re-tuning category, which whatever we may feel about the subject does seem to be an audiophile oriented request.

Re-tuning by a whole octave could have some merit at the isolated instrument mix stage, but after the final mix has been created by the engineer I agree it seems rather pointless.

I'd say this is the opposite of audiophile. Most self-professed audiophiles spend thousands to try to get their system to sound exactly how the artist intended

Rather this is requested by those that have some inherent gift that making this tuning change post-mastering will still have some magical ability to provide soothing, calm, and zen.

If the artist intended their work to be tuned to 432Hz, they would do that with their instruments prior to recording.
