UI redistribution and bigger font

In my car head unit the first thing I install is Poweramp, but some texts are barely readable because the funny it's too small. 

 

Besides, I usually to use Musixmatch synced lyrics but the buttons are covered, so moving them down would be wonderful, or, as there is a lot of space, putting over the controls the lyrics from Poweramp itself. 

 

Summarizing, moving the elements in horizontal view and bigger fonts would be awesome.

@Hammerhand I can not play the video (no codec) but YAPS does exactly what you want. Move things about, hide what you do not want, select a font, set font sizes and font colours and so much else.It even has some special landscape layouts

Just a photo of my setup, no video. Just after writing here I digged on the forum and found it, then bought it. I'm going to try and configure it right now.

It's solved more or less. Just a file of things: 

- Any way to use buttons from default theme? I've tried several of them but couldn't find a consistent combination. It would be amazing to have an option to start in all buttons and options as default light or dark theme and then start modifying. 

- Any way to make the fonts have a border, instead of only a color?

- Any way to make a background for title and author/album, like in the image in metadata (as in the default theme) 

- Any way to make these (title and author/album) centered in the position you set?

- Last one: how do I backup my theme? Just making a backup of Poweramp settings? A backup of the theme would be great too. I've been a lot path to let it as I desired.

Backing up is just exporting skin settings s part of Poweramp functionality

Thanks for your kind words, yaps is really easy to use, so it's not a big issue. One more thing: I always set meta info as next song to play, but if it's too big it doesn't scroll. Not a big issue, just telling.

Adding gradient backgrounds to track and album artist. This is a biggish job so may take a couple of days

- Added option to move Track, Album/Artist to align centred (diy landscape)
- Default Poweramp buttons are now the actual Poweramp buttons

The scrolling for Metadata is defined but does not appear to kick in.

Didn't find a Playlist Manager thread. Can you add a cleanup of dead playlist entries? I was always surprised, Poweramps "Rescan/resolve playlist" doesn't do this. Essential function in playlist management. Thx for your tools...

Hi again! Tried it and it's almost perfect! Just found some issues: 

- the pause button is shown but the play one doesn't

- If I set background color for album/artist/song as black 1000, it changes itself to gradient black.

- I would like to set a consistent style but can't get the same style for time/time left and the other buttons. Maybe I dismissed some color option.

- Metadata doesn't scroll, as you stated.

With the change to the backgrounds for Track and Album/Artist, there is a bug when choosing Transparent. This is my preference, but with the update from 20240910 the background actually uses a solid colour that after some testing seems to be pulling from the option for the Circle/square color. Checking with other shades, any colour with a gradient has the same issue as Transparent and ends up using the Circle/square colour instead. And the Circle/square color, even when choosing a solid color, always become a gradient.

The Poweramp Play buttons did change as well, however when selecting them now the outside circle is always grey instead of the selected circle colour.

For now I have applied a solid Black background for Track and Album/Artist. and reduced the circles to 0dp for most so they don't show up at all. If you have a chance to look at these some time and find a fix, I would like to turn these back on.

I need a little more tuning because I'm some of the backgrounds I can't take all the colors: I'm using gold color but as you can see artist, album, track, rating, and navigating bar doesn't show gold as color so it's a little inconsistent. 

Besides, I can't get elapsed/duration to get the same style because it always have white borders. 

I would like to try reversed layout but couldn't find it. 

 

Please, don't take these as complaints, I thanks to your work I have an almost perfect Poweramp!

Functionality to remove orphaned playlist entries has been added in the latest release.

OK, there's still dead entries, also in your software, and rhey cannot be reviewed, no tags, nothing.

Poweramp playlists, are those m3u files or similar, somewhere in the file system? 

EDIT: Those entries weren't part of an export,which I hoped. I have now deleted them manually.

  It cycles through the playlist one by one. It checks if a track exists in Poweramp.  If it or nothing   exists then the entry is removed. Difficult to know why they are not cleared. You could try and export to csv or to .m3u, perhaps this has some clues

So no clues there, but hey, I'll leave it at that
