audiobook Confused by different progress options

Hi,

I am currently evaluating PA to see if it suits my audiobook needs. All my audiobooks are all tagged mp3 files, tagged meaning that they do have track number and album tags set and all reside in a single folder. The number of mp3 files varies, the last from just a few minutes (e. g. prolog) to more than 30 minutes. Very often I listen to them having a timer set while going to bed so I often miss the end. The next day I reset the progress manually to a point I remember.

This seems to be in conflict with a per-track progess setting as the next day I might skip the beginning of a file as I ended during that file after five minutes e. g. What other option do I have?
