Customization for the album view? (Illustrated)

(I'm new to the app so please correct me if I'm off the mark)

 

Just like you can customize the main song playing view to make the album cover bigger, move icons away, make things less cluttered, I really wish we had those same options for the album view...

 

Here's what I'm talking about: first picture is the original, second is photoshopped to what I'd like it to be.

 

Changes:

- No cropping the album cover (That's my 1# gripe, it's soo ugly)

- Move down and center title and artist label

- Hide select / search / shuffle / etc. buttons (could make it so there's only one button you press, which then shows all the rest)

- Hide file type extensions and little icon

- Hide notification tray (this could go for the whole app, is it really not a thing already?)

 

 

Much more clean and pleasant... I'm a big albums guy so I'd really cherish that. Cheers.

Some of those things are skinable, but not removing the navigation bar or changing the content of the metadata area (well, not until an existing Feature Request to customise text strings gets implemented).

Great to hear!! could you elaborate which ones, and where I can look into it

 

I was nitpicking a bit, if i can just make it so the album art doesn't get cropped and lower the title and artist things I'll be happy

Your account needs to be two days and two posts old to vote.

There is a Skins forum here where you can discuss requests with skin authors. The core app only has an option to make the header area more compact, so you can see more of the actual song titles on the screen.
