Music keeps pausing when using android auto

Hi everyone!

I'm having some issues with using Poweramp (and Spotify, and audio in general) with one of those stand alone Android head units that does Bluetooth to FM/AM (Not sure which) radio and am hoping someone might have some ideas!

I can connect to the head unit using JUST Bluetooth and play music fine (just like with a Bluetooth speaker) but when connect via android auto it keeps pausing within seconds of me pressing play. Or, more specifically, loosing focus as that's what the logs say. I'll paste a copy of them onto the end of the post.

I've disabled all the settings mentioned in the FAQ but that doesn't seem to make a difference.

I've also tested other phones with this head unit and they work fine using android auto, so it is specifically my phone that's having issues. It's a Samsung note 9 and has been rooted if that makes any difference.

Any input would be greatly appreciated!!
