Mini Player question

Recommended Posts

Is it possible to clear the Mini Player so there is no song playing at all? There always seems to be a song in it and it overrides my podcast app on Bluetooth in the car even with Poweramp app closed.

I tried to find how to do this and couldn't find anything

Thanks

Thanks for thereply.. even when the app is closed? I could live with it if it was just when the app was open, any way of just stopping the app and killing what's playing?

Android from about release 12 onward requires something to be considered as the current media player app, and as PA has a background service that is often the one it chooses.

You could try turning off Settings=>Look and Feel=>Notifications=>Keep Service and also Keep Notification in the same menu.

On my device those options were off anyway...

Its a bit of a pain and something that's probably going to put me off using PA as a player.

Well I think I have found a simple solution.

Settings - Headset/Bluetooth - Resume On Bluetooth - (switch off)

This seems to stop this happening.

So are you saying that the Android media status panel (at the the of the pull-down notification area) does not go away when you stop playback? Even with all of those Keep Notification controls turned off?

[Edit] Turning off Resume on Bluetooth would certainly stop the issue of playback restarting, but not the notification remaining present.

Yes that was the case... Even if I forced stopped PA app when Bluetooth connected the 'now playing' song started up again...

The notification as such wasn't a problem it was the overriding restart of the 'now playing' song. Whatever turning off bluetooth resume sorts out the problem for me
