Support for displaying PUBLISHER tag

Is there support for the PUBLISHER tag (id3 v2) within Poweramp and if not could this be added please.

 

For those that don't know, this is tag is used by professionals for inputting the music label, production company or studio name.

 

It would need to display in Poweramp's Info/Tags screen of the main Player UI. It could also function as another sorting feature for Playlists etc

 

I used to use/input this particular tag a lot in my mp3 and flac files in previous years.

The tags that Poweramp reads from files are actually exactly the same as MP3Tag's default display (Publisher not beinhg one of them, as you indicated by enabling it manually in MP3Tag in your screenshot). Publisher is probably one of those more "academic" tags, like "Label", as it has nothing to do with the actual music itself, and I can't see it being especially useful to show it in the limited amount of space in lists/etc. Would you want see it as a new Library Category, in the same way that "Composer" can be used at the moment but is not otherwise displayed? 

It could tie in nicely with the ability to customise the Title and Artist/Album display strings though. So if that feature does get added at some stage in the future (it's in the top three most highly voted Feature Request) perhaps it might also be worth parsing a few more of the less commonly used tags into the database, so users can choose to view them if they wish?

Hello Andre, yes to both Library Category and customizable strings.

 

It simply would be nice to see Publisher in the Info/Tags screen, providing it's present in the metadata of the file.
