If I move new album folder to my mp3 folder andbthe auto scan starts while playing music, the scan ends not complete, I have like 26k songs and it stops at 17k, then playback stops, then if I rescan without playing any songs it goes right to 26k, also sometimes tags get bugged (normal tags turns into unknown artist) then doing a full new scan restores all tags correct. Sorry pics are in wrong order, the 2nd pic it's the 17k songs bug scan

Probably best to turn Auto-Scan off for your device, and only trigger a simple scan manually whenever you've added new content.

Andre

I will disable auto scan thank you

Full Rescan, or just the simple Rescan in the library category menus?

Andre

Simple normal rescan from library menu

Try a Full Rescan from the Settings=>Library menu, and then see if incremental updates are easier after that.

Andre

I did several tests and it's related to music playback, if not playing any song the scan goes fine, my device it's mediatek 8300 ultra processor, Xiaomi hyper os, not rooted, but I suspect of this mediatek (btw it's a powerful processor, but maybe will have different instructions compared to snapdragon that most of ppl uses)

It could just be that the file management is very slow on that device, especially while trying to read audio data too (and much worse with high-res content). I would suggest only doing rescans when nothing is playing.

Also worth seeing if using Legacy File Access Mode helps. It might, or it might make things worse, but worth a try anyway.
