rekkandevar
I'm trying to set up playlist syncing between my phone and computer, which entails having a folder of m3u files on both devices that are automatically loaded and written to by the requisite music player. Unfortunately I've noticed that I have to manually rescan my playlists in Poweramp in order for any changes to come through, which makes truly seamless (i.e. no interaction required) syncing impossible. I don't understand this - it's generally pretty good about rescanning new music automatically, so I don't get why playlists would be any different. I'd like Poweramp to automatically rescan the playlists folder whenever the user opens the Playlists tab, and for it to automatically reload any file-based playlist from storage every time it is entered. andrewilley
A background library rescan (which can be set to occur automatically on app launch) should update Playlists too if the size or last-modified timestamp of an M3U file has changed. However in practice I too have noticed that usually this does not occur, and you need to use the 'Rescan / Resolve Playlists' option rather than just a regular 'Rescan'. I'll move this to Bug Reports as I agree it's not working as users would expect.
