Advance Category Switches to Repeat Category

For the past couple of weeks when I connect to my car audio over Bluetooth (not CarPlay or AA) PA switches from Advance Category to Repeat Category and cannot be changed while connected to the car (can short or long click to get options, but nothing happens). This does not happen when I connect to a room or desktop speaker. I have dug through the settings & cannot figure out how to get it to stay on Advance Category. Any one got any ideas?

I'm guessing you have an Android 14 phone, possibly a Pixel? Google seem to have introduced a bug whereby spurious Repeat and Shuffle modifiers are sent from some BT devices (mainly car headunits it seems) upon connection. Check PA Settings=>Headset/Bluetooth=>Last Processed Commands to see if this is what is happening to you.

The latest public beta releases of Poweramp (build 978 or above) include a workaround to ignore this behaviour if it is affecting you: PA Settings=>Headset/Bluetooth=>Ignore Repeat/Shuffle.

Totally forgot to mention my device: Samsung Galaxy S22Ultra. You are correct that I am on Android 14. Thanks for the info. Unfortunately, I am pretty much a techno-Luddite, so Last Processed Commands is babble to me. It appears I am on Build 976, so no luck with the workaround for me. Thanks for your help!

Forgot to reply to this, sorry. The latest build from the website is 981, which you can download as an official APK file from here: https://forum.powerampapp.com/files/category/2-poweramp-v3-latest-releases/ and install manually.

Or wait until the current series of builds is promoted to Stable, and the Play Store will then update it automatically for you.
