andrewilley
The two EQ systems work in very different underlying ways, although the results should be broadly similar. PA's own internal EQ controls are applied to the decoded PCM stream before it leaves the app, using code inside the app itself. The stand-alone PA-EQ app does not get so much access to the raw audio data, as that is being handled by the media playering app and Android itself. Instead the PA-EQ app passes configuration information to Android's processing tools, and they do the actual encoding work. This is why there are slight differences between the available controls. But which you prefer is a matter of personal taste I guess. Andre Quote Translate Revert translation?
