mlorez
I'm interested in using Poweramp to notch out my tinnitus frequency as part of notched sound therapy. The notched band needs to be a certain width (two "ERB"s) and have a slight boost on either side. I've tried to recreate this in the parametric equalizer but can't remove the band completely with the limitation of -15db. Is there any way to bypass that limit to help remove the band completely? More control over the shoulder of the band would also be helpful. See AudioNotch for a good summary of the therapy.
andrewilley
Sorry, but +/- 15dB is as far as the adjustments can be made, as the app stands at the moment anyway. It's designed for audiophile optimisation rather than for any specific sound therapy. Andre
Solution mlorez Posted March 26 Author Solution Share Posted March 26 Thanks for your reply. For others searching for the same function, I used the CSV AutoEQ import function in Wavelet to set values below -15db.
andrewilley
If you are now using Wavelet, there have been compatibility issues with the PA EQ reported in the past. So you may want to turn PA EQ off to avoid clashes. Andre
