Smart Playlists

On my iPod, I use to have smart playlists I could build based on various different settings, so if I added a new metal song for example, it would automatically be added to my metal playlist. Or if I added a new song and rated it 5 stars, it would be added to my 5-star playlist. I used the rating system a lot

I see PowerMP has a "Top Rated" playlist, but it seems to play anything I've rated. I accidentally rated some songs 5-star and didn't want them on my "Top Rated" playlist, so I just rated them 1-star. But the 1-star songs keep showing up.

So two questions...can I totally erase the rating I give a song, and can I make "smart playlists" that will automatically add songs based on certain things, i.e, genre, rating, etc.?
