maxmp
@Yukito Yukaza low volume with DVC enabled means DVC doesn't work. In case of Bluetooth - this is due to the Absolute Volume (see Direct Volume Control settings page in Poweramp). In case of Hi-Res output - DVC + Hi-Res not supported in your firmware, at least for the selected sample rate. Quote Translate Revert translation? Yukito Yukaza
Not using BT, just USB DAC CX31993. Found a way to recreate it. Settings>audio>dvc>toggle dvc off and on this will do the weak volume and if you max the volume while in this way the distortion starts at 70% volume and will remain like this even if you reinstall or restart the phone or unplug and replug the usb dac. Also found a way to fix it lelz Settings>audio>output>high-res output>usb dac>toggle no dvc on and off. It just fixed itself even when you unplug and plug in the usb dac. I would know if its in direct mode since wavelet and built-in dolby atmos doesn't affect it. This is the audio log, when its fixed. Oddly no changes in the log when the low volume bug occurred. maxmp
@Yukito Yukaza in this case DVC + Hi-Res doesn’t work - either use standard definition audio output or disable DVC (better to use No DVC per output option). Obviously, with no DVC you can’t apply deep equalization/tone and your overal volume is reduced by “No DVC Gain” which can be set to 0db to match other apps. Thanks! Yukito Yukaza
@maxmp it does work now, I would know if its using high res due to the light indicator at the usb dac or screen at my fiio brt7, I just need to do this Settings>audio>output>high-res output>usb dac>toggle "no dvc" on then back to off. just do that trick to xiaomi/poco MIUI 12 and up. another is just restart the phone. if the toggling doesn't work. no problems on my LG v60, my samsung a30 and its locked at 24bit 192kHz. for samsung there's a conflict built-in software, settings>sound and vibration>sound quality and effects> UHQ upscaler dolby atmos and you can't turn this off, it will always stay on one you go back to the page or refresh the menu.
