i didn't know where to post this 'cause it's not a 'bug' itself, but here i go:

when i'm on a playlist and use the longpress on the navbar (the four squares at the left) to go to the library there's no animation showing. the library just appear.

i love the app for its smooth transitions and the nice UI so its kinda weird that there's no transition animation when you are on any list (seeing the list of songs on an album/artist/playlist, etc.) and do the longpress to go to the library and there's not an animation.

personally it doesn't bother me or something, just wanted to share the situation and maybe the dev adds one.

maybe implement this fade out transition on that situation? i think it fits perfect.

it's the only situation that i found where there's not a transition.

thanks for reading :)

It's not limited to Playlists, the animation only occurs when the action is drilling down or skipping back up one level. So for example if you use the 'Back' button from a song list - which goes back up a single level to the Album or Folder view - the animation effect is applied to show the top header wording zooming back into its embedded location within the main list. It's basically the reverse of the animation you see when you tap to drill down a level. However if you are going to somewhere completely new - such as going from a deep song list up to the top-level Library view - the zoom animation effect is no longer possible as the header wording has nowhere to be moved to.

yes i noticed that too. when you're on a deep list and going to the library with the longpress on the navbar there's no animation.

so my proposal was to add just some kind of fade out to the library so the transition it's smooth like everything in the app. it's a common situation though, so it'll be nice if there's a smooth transition there.

Actually you only need to tap on the Library icon in the navbar, no need for a longpress.

Personally the style of animation doesn't really bother me one way or the other, but PA's animations are generally designed to transition an element on one screen into its new position on the next screen, which means that going back up to the Library (which is a completely new screen) doesn't really fit that logic. I agree a fade would work, but why waste the time?

a single tap goes to "home" which a change to the playlist and the longpress goes to the library.

i mean, a fade out (which it's actually being use on the app) fits better the 'logic transitions' of paweramp than no animation at all.

like i said, it doesn't bothers me at all neither, i just wanted to share that this is happening and maybe the dev can add an animation there.

i don't think it will be a waste of time 'cause it goes to the Poweramp UI, but yes i do think that are better things on the app to focus and work on.
