Any app that is opened on top of a player that has audio should take control of the output. If it is a short command, like a navigation or text notification, then Poweramp should simply duck, or pause, depending on your settings. If it is an app that actually plays audio like YouTube or others, then this is a permanent audio change. This should happen with any output selection though, not just Hi-res.
