i have like 4 music players in my phone, but Poweramp is my main music player, so everytime i add some songs to my phone i always go to Poweramp and add them to some playlist i already have, so i wish i could have like one folder with all the playlists i made and be able to edit them on any of these 4 music players.

it's possible to do this?

any recommendation is welcome.

thanks:)

Sure, the M3U playlist format can be used by any audio player. Just put your M3U file(s) into any directory that all of your music apps are allowed to access. In PA for example, you assign access permissions using Settings=>Library=>Music Folders. If you make changes to a file-based playlist from within PA, those updates will be written back to the M3U file for other apps to see.

PA's internal playlists (i.e. any that you created directly within the app) are in a database that is only accessible by Poweramp, so if you did first create your playlists within PA then you should Export them to files and use the file-based versions in future.

so when i export them i have to delete the playlists from the Poweramp's database?

Unless you want to see two copies (one internal and one M3U-file based), yes.

@ihaspei That's by design. As you are now using a file-based playlist, PA will display the full filename in order to distinguish it from internally generated lists which have no separate physical files.

oh, i see. it would it be awesome if in the list options were a check box to hide this extension name. obviously it would be disable by default so the user have the option to hide it at his own risk.

I suggested a while back (as this isn't the first time this has been requested) that it might be an idea to place a little file icon beside any file-based playlists - rather like the folder icon used in Folders Hierarchy view. Then the extender need not be displayed. Or better still, use the title entry stored in '#PLAYLIST:' line in the file (if present).

yes! something like that would be really great. the app goes and looks very good that this little details sometimes bother more than it should be.

i know it's a one man developer and so difficult to keep all people satisfied with te app, so maybe he could implement a "donate" botton at the end of the settings page or somewhere so people can really help maintain this app that i'm pretty sure many users (me in included) would be willing to donate, 'cause this app is really well made and the developer thought of so many details and options that you cannot complain at all, the ui is really smooth and just feels so good to navigate through the app.

i really hope these little features would be implemented soon. i really like this music player.
