Folder button direct to folder hierarchy?

I'm not quite sure I understand what is meant by the "track menu / folder" button (Below left the 4 small squares).
In the UI menu it says that you can set whether it leads to folders hierarchy instead of folders library.
But for me there is no difference.
Since I always navigate via my music folders (in folders hierarchy), it would be great if I could get to these folders immediately by pressing a button.

The 'squares icon' (lower-left, in the row of four icons) is intended to take you to the main Library view. However you can re-assign it to take you directly to a specific category if you only ever use one - such as Folders Hierarchy. Go to the top level library view, tap the three-dots menu > List Options, and long-press on the Category name that you wish to use by default.

If that first top level happens to be a single folder which you'd prefer to skip, enable Settings=>Library=>Lists=>Folders Hierarchy Immediate Root.
