Dynamic Hi-Res Sample Rate Switching

Hello,

Currently with Poweramp 3 Build 939-uni when using Hi-Res Output, you must select a specific sample rate, which stays constant regardless of the sample rate of the currently playing track.
My DAP will accept the higher sample rate, but running at a higher sample rate for all music tends to drain the battery much more quickly.

Would it be possible to add a "dynamic" option for the sake of reducing up/down sampling & saving power, wherein the sample rate would only change to match the bit-depth/sample rate of the track being played?

I'd still like to use EQ and other Poweramp features, so not necessarily a "bit-perfect" mode, but have the an option to dynamically change the bit-depth/sample rate that comes out of Poweramp.

This is a fairly regularly requested feature, but currently not likely to happen soon. A lot of people would like dynamic output frequency following the source file (to avoid extra resampling) even if full "bit perfect" is unlikely to be possible:
