Can't Select Download Folder

I had to change phone. Installed Poweramp. 

Now Poweramp says, for your privacy you cannot select the downloads folder. 

I could on the last phone, and since that is where everything I download goes is...

Any ideas how I can use the downloads folder again?

@Rev Paul Poweramp doesn’t limit it or say it, it’s Google who introduced this limitation. You can create and use a subfolder inside Downloads, or alternatively use the “Legacy file access” option in Poweramp.

And it's probably better to copy your content out of the Downloads folder anyway, it's only meant to be a transient file location rather than a daily working folder.
