Custom stream tag

Recommended Posts

Some radio stations such as https://jazzfm91.streamb.live/SB00009 write the song playing in the title. Makes it difficult to identify the station. There should be a custom tag that can be manually edited to add the station name. Thank you.

I suspect the complication is that the song title and artist details are obviously beneficial on the player screen - you don't just want to see only the station name if they are helpfully broadcasting the song details - but the wording in the Category list uses the exact same string, so you would have to change the details for both locations.

Many streaming stations which broadcast the song Title and Artist details seem to use the Album field to hold the station name, so perhaps there's something that could be done there? Maybe when the planned customization controls for those two information lines are implemented, it might be possible to use List Options in the Streams category to set the top line as %station% and the bottom line as %title% - %artist% .

Frankly,  when u have lots of stations , and if it would not be possible to have both song name and station name, may be station name would be more useful. Otherwise,  u are looking at a bunch of url and u don't know whats what. I have doubletwist which I am dropping for PA, and for same link I provided,  they only show station name, no song title...

The song titles were added by user request, saying that if the station broadcast information about the song then that should be displayed on the player screen. As I said before, the issue here is that PA currently uses only one 'Title' field in both the player screen and the songs list, so if you change it on one you would change it on both.
