mick-dmg
I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, perhaps someone may correct me. I have Artists in my collection that include a comma, e.g. Peter, Paul & Mary. Yet, when I search Artists or Album Artists View in Poweramp the Artist simply shows up as Peter. Anything after the comma is not included. The Meta Tags are all correct. It simply happens whenever a comma is present in the name. Is this expected behaviour or do I need to enable something? Thanks. I forgot: Fiio M11 Pro Poweramp build-911-arm64-play
Solution maxmp Posted January 11, 2022 Solution Share Posted January 11, 2022 @mick-dmg check and modify your Split characters (search in Poweramp settings). Thanks!

andrewilley
For more info on using the Split feature for Artist, Album Artist, Genre or Composer tags, please see the FAQ at: But commas are never a good idea to use for automatically splitting artist names, for the reasons you give - "Earth, Wind & Fire", "Emerson, Lake & Palmer", "Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young", etc. Andre
mick-dmg
@andrewilley Thanks. You're right. In fact, they are files from apple music and had included the comma. I've ended up removing the culprit commas. But I have learnt about split characters. 😀
andrewilley
Personally I would leave the commas as they are within the song tags (as those artist names are actually correct that way) but delete comma from the Split Characters, as defined in Settings. Easier than editing a lot of tags. Andre
mick-dmg
Thanks again. I see your point. I batch corrected the audio files and deleted the comma from Split Characters in Settings. All's well now. Amazing what a little comma can do!
