Xaphan
The "albumartist" tag is not reading in some files with APEv2 tags. I noticed this bug in mp3 and wv files

andrewilley
Just post a link to a temporary file share location here, can be taken down once it's been looked at. Andre

Xaphan
Figured out the problem. Bug in Mp3teg. APEv2 used tag "album artist" not "albumartist" like id3 or flac Edited October 12, 2021 by Xaphan
andrewilley
There are other issues too, such as the Artist tag's null separators being single zero bytes within an UTF-8 encoded data (should be two zero bytes not one). PA and MP3Tag coped, but my preferred TagScanner only saw the first artist name. I would just make life easier for myself and stick with MP3/ID3 or FLAC/Vorbis tagging. Andre alas doesn't many formats support dsd

As @andrewilley already suggested, the more common formats will lead to better results with Poweramp and all other players.
