Geoa
I updated to build-905-arm64-play, on my Sonim XP8, my EQ settings, a custom made one with the bass and treble knobs turned all the way up, has been that way for years and sounded amazing, the XP8 has dual front mounted 100 decibel speakers that can handle a lot of bass. After the update both bass and treble had to be turned all the way off or music sounds awful. What changed in the update? Every other thing that the speakers are used for still sound the same, just Poweramp has changed, so is not the phone. Is there a way to downgrade to the last version of Poweramp I had before updating ? I use phone for music all the time and is driving me crazy not having the sound I've had for years. andrewilley
If you push the bass and treble all the way up, you may need to reduce the pre-amp gain to compensate so the audio path is not over-saturated and peaks are clipped. The Limiter can help with this too, as can enabling DVC, but better to get the levels right in the first place. I don't know why this would only affect build 905 though - what build where you on before? Andre Quote Translate Revert translation? Andre Thanks SO SO Much, it was the DVC, I went to settings and it was off, guess the update shut it off for some reason, turned it on and then the EQ I was using for years and it is back to normal. My XP8 has the best sounding speakers of any phone I've had or heard and with the Poweramp app, music just sounds amazing, especially for being small phone speakers. Anyway, Thanks again !!!!
