This has nothing to do with the application of the option, it only occurs when the equalizer is applied, and it is common in all apps such as Spotify and Tidal. If so, you're probably on Android 9 - avoid using high amplification on bass bands and instead use Bass tone as Android 9 has bug with the window overlap (pre/post fft/ifft window function) which can be heard for the specific bass bands configuration.
