sea-speak
hi, I searched but did not find the answer to this question. Does Poweramp (l am running Build 893-ARM64) use the hi-quality AKM DAC on the Fiio M11, or the Exynos DAC?

sea-speak
If High-Res mode is active and music is playing, does this mean that the external (to the Exynos CPU) DAC is being used?
Fitzian
You need to go to Poweramp's audio settings, click on Advanced Tweaks, and scroll to the bottom where you should see "Audio Outputs Detection Log" What you copied before was simply the "Audio Info" that one gets by long pressing on the meta info. andrewilley
Possibly more useful would be the results from dumpsys while audio is playing. On a connected PC, if you have ADB installed, run adb shell dumpsys media.audio_flinger Andre

maxmp
From my experience by default DAP uses their best available DAC (i.e. AKM) unless there is somewhere switch to change between DACs.
