Ikerkaz
Hi, first of all, sorry for my terrible english, I'm from Spain. Since 1-2 months I have a problem with Poweramp. I enter on Album view, select any album and hit "Play" button (or select the first song of the album). Music starts to play normally, but and the end of some songs sometimes the player jumps to another song of another album (not following the next song of the album I am playing). The bug is totally random, it happens every 4-5 songs and it does not follows a fixed pattern. Sometimes it happens at one specific song, and when I play the same song the bug does not happen. Obviously I have the shuffle button at OFF position. This problem is also happening when I press the "next song" button; instead of starting the next song of the album, the player sometimes jumps to another random song of my library (it works well the most of the times). What can I do? Thank you very much.
andrewilley
That's very strange, it sounds like you've done everything correctly. When it skips, is it to some random album, or to a song in the next album in your sorting order? If it skips logically it may be because one or more songs are for some reason considered unplayable at the time. You'd normally see a toast message telling you that though. In the Player screen, tap the metadata line at the bottom and it should cycle round to displaying a small ">>" logo along with the next scheduled song. When the issue occurs, does that scheduled title show you what should occur next, or what actually does play next? And if after the ordering has skipped and you press the Previous Track button, does it go back to the actual song that was playing beforehand, or back one track in the newly-playing album order? Andre Hi, I tried what you say... my queue showed some tracks from an album that I think I enqueued long time ago... I never use the queue, I always play complete albums, that might be the problem. I erased all the queue, and now seems that the Next button is working well. I tried it on an album that had problems, and it seems to work perfectly. I will try it harder on the next days. Thank you very much
andrewilley
Ah, yes - if you have unplayed songs in the Queue then those will get played next, until the queue is either finished or cleared. You gave me the impression that several songs would play correctly in a row before it skipped, but I suspect it was only one at a time before the queue took over.
