Siddhaleo
I have a Lenovo Tab 4 10. Now, the hi res support used to give an output of 24 bit and adequate bit rate( that is, the audio file's). But, since a few weeks before, hi res support seems to provide a sample rate of 16 bit for any file, and keeps downsampling to 48 kHz. I'm not really sure what's happening. Any assistance would be deeply appreciated. Thanks in advance. Quote Translate Revert translation? andrewilley
Have you had a ROM update recently? Some ROM changes can break existing functionality. What frequency/bit-depth values do you see in PA Settings > Audio > Output > Hi-Res ? Andre Quote Translate Revert translation? Siddhaleo
@andrewilley, no I did not undergo any rom changes. Though, it is worth noting I used to play from my pen drive before, and now I use the internal storage. The frequency and depth values- 16 bit 48 kHz. The file format is 24 bit 88 kHz. My tablet used to show 24 bit and the adequate rate, but suddenly stopped doing so. Funnily enough, this problem had occured before, but got fixed by itself somehow before. I know my tablet supports hi res through neutron. Should I post the audio detections log? Quote Translate Revert translation? maxmp
If this is 3.5 output, then some Android 10 ROMs are unable to handle Hi-Res and DVC (though, patches are available for more then year for this, but not all OEMs integrate those). Try to disable DVC for Hi-Res output and check if it helps. Thanks! Quote Translate Revert translation? Siddhaleo
@maxmp, I'm running Android 8 currently, so I don't think I should encounter any problems relating to Android 10. I use a Lenovo Tab 4 10, which has Dolby. I saw some people have mentioned that, so I thought it might be helpful. I'm posting my audio detection lot, maybe that could help.
