Please help. My android phone updated two nights ago and now It does not show all my music. I have to open each file and tell it to be played through Poweramp. I tried rescanning and reinstalling the app but no luck. Any thoughts?

Probably an Android 10/11 file access issue. Check Settings > Library > Music Folders and ensure that you have granted access to the specific location where your music is stored (recent versions of Android won't allow you to just select the root of an SD Card for example) and that you have then ticked the relevant folders in the selection list for PA to scan.

If that still doesn't it work, look at Settings > Misc > File Access Legacy Mode. If it's on, turn it off, and vice versa.

Andrewwiley, thanks for the info but it does not solve the issue with my Galaxy S20 5G.   My settings tab does not even display Settings > Library > Music Folders.   When I attempt to play a song through Poweramp, PA displays a message "Failed to play. Storage unmounted."  The files are on the SD card, as they will play through Samsung Music and Rec Forge.  Using Android 11.  Are there any other suggestions?   Thanks!

Have you tried altering the setting of File Access Legacy Mode (in Settings > Misc) ?

I had the same problem since the Android 11 upgrade.  Settings > Misc > File Access Legacy Mode was still turned on in my settings.  I turned it off and all works fine now.  It only began to be a problem with 11.  Android 10 was fine with it.
