Stuck play counts

I'm a new user, only bought the unlocker last week, so I don't know if I'm just missing something here. The play counts has been stuck since who knows when. Perhaps after I bought the unlocker and updated the app? I never ran into a problem while I'm using the trial version. 

This has been happening for days now. I noticed it adds recently played song to the most played section, but after a while the play count would stop around 2-5. Most played section is an important part for me when it comes to music players. They're my go-to when I can't decide what to play, so seeing the numbers stuck despite the fact that I just played a song thrice in a row bothers me. I tried rescanning, I tried clearing the data, but after a while the numbers get stuck again. Is there a workaround to this? Thanks in advance!

If you play songs from any of the categories based on existing play counts (such as Most Played or Recently Played, or when sorting any regular category by Play Count or Last Time Played) the play counter will not be updated when you listen to a song. This is to avoid potential re-ordering issues where updating the current song's information causes it to get re-sorted elsewhere in the playback order and messes up the planned sequence.

Try playing a song from a normal category - such as Folders or Albums for example, with songs sorted by Title or by Track Number - and see if that updates the play-count as expected.
