Is this a design change or a bug? The navbar (or whatever it's called at the bottom of the screen with the buttons - highlighted in red) no longer stretches across the screen. I believe this changed with v219, which I just upgraded recently to fix the disappearing seekbar issue. I haven't updated PA. Even stranger, when I click on the menu item highlighted in green below, when it switches screens it then stretches across the entire screen. When I go back to the main player mode, it shrinks to only the right side of the screen.

In case this additional info is helpful, when I shift between portrait (split screen) and landscape views, the navbar is static in its placement when switching between the two. Perhaps it's locked into portrait view.

@slizzap

Skin settings Misc/Landscape
= "Poweramp Default" - this have NavBar full width (and all items on fixed possition)
= "DIY Layout" - in this is in default half-right possitioned (as on your photo of car HA 🙂
as in DIY you can move all(?) items, some of it have left/rigt not for positioning, but for width/size

In app update note i think be some warning about "not all items be in right position, change it yourself" 😉
So go in "Fine Tune/Move various object (diy) Landscape View/NavBar" and Left/Right slider move to 0

Thanks @flyingdutchman I hope this doesn't stay "too long" on the to do list. 😉😁 Just noticed, there are no option for rounded corners for dialogue / toast / ripple / spectrum box on top of album art when visualization is enabled. Could you please add the rounded options for all these? Thanks.

@flyingdutchman any update on the above request?

I’m pretty sure this previous answer from @flyingdutchman suggests he won’t address this any time soon.

@James007 this is something i can put on the todo list. As i am mainly working on the moving artifacts on the main ui and summer is coming, don't hold your breath 😃

@James007 this sort of thing takes quite a lot of work as you need to resize albumart, move it left, then align other items to the right of it etc. From a commercial point of view the time spent to implement, provided i can do this, is not worth the effort. I rather spend time in the garden when the weather is nice 😎

Thanks for the response. The rounded corners are by default in Poweramp. For e.g rounded dialogue box. I was merely requesting if that rounded corner option could also be implemented in YAPS. I'm not a developer but I don't think adding rounded corner options to dialogue boxes would take that much time / effort. Would just need to copy the code from default skin I guess. If, however, it's time consuming I would rather be happy with the YAPS as it is.

I love YAPS and it's customisability that's why I find time to posts requests that could make it more fun.

@MotleyG thanks anyways.

I've noticed a few minor interface positioning glitches as of the most recent release.

The Metadata bounding box (the rounded grey, clickable area) starts to lose its location and disappear as you move the text further down the screen.

Meta Info Vertical 91:

Meta Info Vertical 92:

Also the Navbar vertical adjustment doesn't work for a specific setting of 94. Values of 91>92>93 gradually step the box down the screen nicely, but setting it to 94 jumps back up several positions (to somewhere around 90-ish). Then values 95>96>97 continue moving downward correctly from where 94 ought to have been. I assume these values are not used absolutely but are indexes to a lookup table, so probably just a typo somewhere?

The colour options for the 'MiniPlayer Background' include several gradient versions (e.g. 'Gradient Blue Grey' which I was previously using) but the equivalent list for 'Navbar Seekbar Background' does not include the gradients, which makes it hard to make them look the same. When I set both of them to a solid colour there's sometimes a pixel-thin line separating the two areas which is not present with other colours (yeah, I know - picky picky!!). e.g. this is Blue 700 Opaque:

starts to lose its location, tried a few things but could not make it behave. I assume it has moved outside its boundary

specific setting of 94. Values of 91>92>93 typo , it was jumping back to 90. now corrected

the gradient background is that of the navbar. The navbar showing on eq pages is the same artifact as on main ui

this example has miniplayer and navbar set with the same gradient

1) Could well be, the grey box starts to disappear and get thinner in stages as you move the meta info line down. So I guess just a case of finding its parent object and extending its height a bit, currently if you move it too far down the text (only) is visible, but it's not tapable.

2) Thanks.

3) I can't seem to get the background to the Seekbar to match with the background of Miniplayer (ideally as Gradient Blue-grey). Clearly those two object are conceptually linked, whereas the main Navbar is a separate entity so presumably shouldn't be forcing it's status onto the others.

I need to leave the Navbar as transparent (for the Player Screen) which comes out as a very dark grey on the Library views, which is fine. But I want the Now-Playing Mark, the MiniPlayer and the attached Seekbar to show as Gradient Blue-Grey, but I only seem to be able to se that for Now-Playing and MiniPlayer, the Seekbar background won't follow.

@andrewilley there are no gradient colour options for the navseekbar. Leave it transparent and it will pick up the navbar background colour. However, it will never achieve a smooth look as each gradient area (miniplayer, nabar etc) has parameters x,y which determine the way the gradation is applied. I can add a static background for blue grey which would give you a smooth look as shown in my earler example

It's odd, if I select 'Gradient Blue-Grey' for both the Now-Playing Mark and the MiniPlayer, then when I scroll the song list so the two are adjacent they both use exactly the same left-to-right origin and gradient parameters - so their backgrounds appear seamless:

image.png

I just wanted the Seekbar to have the same effect as the MiniPlayer (and with no pixel-width dividing line). I know it's not a not a biggie, but it just seems that the Seekbar conceptually belongs as part of the MiniPlayer song controls, while the NavBar has completely different app-level functionality. So I wanted the Navbar to look different to the other two (ideally transparent actually, which is how I use it on the Player Screen):

It's not really vital though; being able to move the NavBar and Meta Info lines accurately on the Player Screen is definitely more important.

Hey guys,

I've got one issue to report and one feature request. One thing to note is that my usage of PA and YAPS is limited to my car's Android head unit, and I often switch between landscape (full screen) and portrait (split screen, when sharing PA with navigation) views.

  1. After one of the last few updates I noticed that the Track/Album text would randomly get cut off when in portrait view. The odd thing is that if I pressed Play/Pause it would fix the issue and display the full text...until the next song came on and the text changed, then it would happen again. Today I was motivated to play around with the settings and I found that a value of "92" for the Up/Down setting in Portrait view was the sweet spot that solved this problem and fully displayed the text without being cut off. If I set this at 93 the lowercase "Y"s, "P"s, "J"s etc would start cutting off, and any lower just cuts off even more text. But again, pressing Play/Pause would temporarily solve this problem. Moving the Waveseek bar/Play buttons down lower did not allow me to move lower than 92. So while initially I thought it might just be settings and overlapping of elements, this appears to be more of a bug.
  2. Feature request: Can you please allow for the sizing of the Play, Previous/Next Track, Category buttons independently between landscape and portrait views. The buttons were sized perfectly for me in landscape view, but the buttons in portrait view were extremely tiny and almost unusable while driving. Since I was playing around today I tried changing these settings, and now whatever setting I use, even if I revert back to my original settings of 30 dpi (all the way left), the buttons are the exact same size regardless of whether I'm in landscape or portrait view...so now it's too small in landscape view. Having one setting for both views makes it impossible for me to find a happy medium where the buttons are properly sized for both views. I really don't know why they were sized differently before I changed the setting today and now it's the same between both views, and I can't get back.

@slizzap remember I have no view of any of the underlying code so am sometimes in the dark about how certain things behave.  I am probably pushing the boundaries of the skin capabilites and there are no other skins out there doing similar things so it is often experimentation. Also note that there is no development for Android Auto or the Poweramp widget so I cannot help with any issues here.

As for your request, yes, this makes sense. I will try and add this in the near future

Yes this as well as dialogue boxes that appear from below. Like when we click on visualization, repeat, shuffle icons etc.

I knew there was something else I was going to mention. The Chromecast icon is still being shown over cover artwork even if that button has been disabled (or set to Menu-only) via PA Settings=>Look and Feel=>Player UI.
