Permissions granting from adb is the only shore for non rooted phones. Frankly I don't mind it, maybe some polishing around how it tracks audio sessions (many dead sessions reported alive)

I'm not a dev here, this is only my two cents.

if we have to give permission again on paid/ non beta version. it's not important for me. just one time and can be done in few secs. or they can find a permanent solution for it. thank you very much. i'm also not a developer, just a standart user like you :)

I am seeing that some of the session is kept alive by Poweramp Equalizer even though  keep session alive button is disabled. I am able to  see this issue all the time with brave browser which is always alive and sometime seeing for YouTube vanced and Spotify as well. Did anybody else faced this problem?

You are my goddamn hero. I stumbled upon this in the store- got myself a new phone (1+ 8T) for Xmas & was d/l apps.

Reminds me of when I first found stereotool for winamp on PC.

I think I about peed my pants when I saw the compressor. Then found out all that goddamned drm'd music I have that can't be played in anything but lame outdated proprietary players can be  "massaged" through your processing tools here without resorting to, umm, other methods... Holy craaaaap. You have out-done yourself, sir, and brought me some new hope for the world. Yeah I mean it. Take my goddamn money already, I'll pay as soon as you have the paid version out. Or, I can make a donation some other way if I can find it- otherwise email me for how.

I'd love to help fund whatever else you have in the pipeline, too. Damn. This is seriously impressive.

I am actually having a problem where my YouTube Vanced won't show up at all as a "Known Player" on my S20 Ultra, do you have a known fix for this?

The Equaliser was designed to operate with apps that specifically allow external sound modification in their code, but there is also a slightly tweaky method (which doesn't need root) to override this and provide support for some apps that don't do this.

Have you enabled the extra permissions in PA-EQ Settings > Equalizer > Advancer Player Tracking? This also involves running a simple command-line instruction in ADB on your connected computer (if you don't have ADB installed on your computer see https://www.xda-developers.com/install-adb-windows-macos-linux/😞

C:\WINDOWS\system32> adb devices
* daemon not running; starting now at tcp:5037
* daemon started successfully

Not sure how that would help, you still need to send commands to your Android device no matter what OS you are using on your computer, and the process of installing and running ADB is pretty much the same on either Windows or Linux.

Crazy idea:
Can Poweramp Eq do convolution ? Probably not caused by limitations in Android way of doing things
But what about doing a parametric Eq ? (where you set the Q factor for each band)

That would be really helpful for whom uses eq just to compensate (pre-equalizing) for their audio gear.

First time I've read the Audio Info page and I saw Q=1.50 my first thought was " Oh, nice we can set Q factors (homogenically) " then to my surprise there was no Q factor settings for the Equalizer. (I haven't tried setting different n. bands to see if Q changes).

Edit: this has been discussed here and it's on the roadmap

In the first post, you mentioned one of the known issues being that on Samsungs, Hi-Res track playback can't be detected causing bands frequency shift. Is this something that can be fixed later down the line or is it just a limitation that we have to accept?

Obviously it's not that big of a issue as this is already great.

Hello Maxmp!

I'm Poweramp user for a long time and I love it!

I'm loving Poweramp Equalizer also. I'd like to sugest two features for Equalizer:

1) A possibility to set equalizer visualization as animated wallpaper.

2) My lyrics app can't identify musics playing in Tidal, could equalizer put a notification as a player, so my Lyric app could grab from it.

@Makale_Helvetia there are internal (alpha) releases. IDK why Google shows that update date for beta (not updated).

it seems strange to me too, that's why i ask about it, so no need to be in a hurry :)

btw the app recognise usb audio player pro but there is no amplfying, i'll be happy if you can check this before paid version release

@Makale_Helvetia Equalization works for Android handled audio streams. So called "Direct" audio outputs usually don't support equalization, but this is sort of the goal for the "direct" output. (In Poweramp player equalization for Hi-Res direct output happens in the player. "Direct" is in quotes and in modern OS like Linux/Android, Windows, Mac, etc. there is no user-app level access to the audio hardware, only via some OS level API).
