Ophysium
The DVC on the Hi-Res output stopped working properly (volume is significantly lowered) after updating to MIUI 11 Global Stable based on Android 10 in my Redmi Note 7. Was working fine on Android 9.
maxmp
DVC + Hi-Res support depends on firmware. Most Qualcomm devices on Android 10 don't have it (unless it's Samsung). Anyways, why do you need DVC exactly for Hi-Res? DVC allows high range of equalization, tone, bass and Hi-Res - high accuracy of playback - this is completely different. For best equalization/tone/basses I would recommend using standard definition which is stable across all firmwares, and for high accuracy playback - Hi-Res/No DVC/No Equ/No Headroom which works everywhere Hi-Res output is supported. I just noticed that the sound was off after updating, and saw that the DVC had been automatically turned off by the app itself. I'll turn up the volume a tad from the usual from now on. Thanks for answering.
