xswesx
hi I am using the latest version of Poweramp and when I select a songs rating (stars) it saves for a second but then when i change like 3 tracks the rating gets erased non of my ratings are saving?? music is stored on phones memory also I just transferred everything from my s8 to s10 phone. I did a full rescan, and still cannot rate my songs. Using paid unlocked Poweramp
flyingdutchman
You can use my app New Playlist Manager (free or paid) to verify your Poweramp ratings. At least this will confirm your assertion. Select Criteria and then pick ratings from the list of options.
andrewilley
Ratings are saved in Poweramp's main music database alongside the other information about the songs, but not in the music files themselves (unless you use Theo's app above, which can also write ratings to the physical files). But unless you reset that database they should remain present once set. I did think that a Full Rescan wiped ratings (as it rebuilds the whole music database from scratch) but I have just tried that and it no longer seems to be the case, ratings were retained.
