steve buscemi
I submitted a bug report for this but maybe another user can help: I'm unable to see track info while playing over bluetooth in my car (WRX, no Android auto.) Currently running Android 10 stock firmware on the OnePlus 6 with V3 build 853. Other players work fine and I didn't have a problem with build 826 on Android 9. But 826 doesn't install properly on Android 10 and no later builds send track info over BT. Let know if I can provide more info. I've also tried different AVRCP versions in Dev options (1.3 - 1.6) with no luck. Edit: fixed by enabling Settings > Misc > Now Playing List For Connected Devices/Apps. dvhttn
Have you checked the firmware on your car audio is the latest verion? I had a simlar problem that pointed to PA but it turned out to be a firmware issue with the stereo. I also have access to several different car stereos, partly through work. A 4 year old Kenwood stereo will only show track number whilst an Android 4 based Honda stereo will show all tags. As will a new Mercedes stereo (in a Merc commercial van but I believe the same as in the current A-Class). A VW van also displayed correctly. So your mileage may vary due to the car/stereo manufacturer and/or stereo firmware level.
automp
I hope this is the right topic... I'm using latest Poweramp pro version via BT with my Frod Sync Audio System. For usual the track info is displayed correct while playing MP3 files. Problem is, when streaming music via .m3u playlists, only the actual (first) playing track info is shown at SYNC, while Poweramp is updating properly. If i change channel (.m3u) list and go back i also get the latest track info again. Is there anything i could try?
andrewilley
Do you m 51 minutes ago, autom said: Problem is, when streaming music via .m3u playlists, only the actual (first) playing track info is shown at SYNC If you mean playing music from (for example) a streamed internet radio station, the cover art would be for the broadcast station, I would not expect the image to be reloaded or updated whenever the station plays a new song. Is that what you are asking? Andre
automp
Right... Frim a Radio Station But while the stream is on PLAY the app on my phone is showing the artist and title of current playing song. In SYNC it stays the artist and title of the track when i started the playlist.
andrewilley
Not sure what you mean, Poweramp does not have PLAY vs SYNC modes. Andre
automp
No, "SYNC" is the name of the ford car audio system. Problem is that on the display of the car audio player only the first track of the radio stream is shown. On my phone (app), wich streams to the car audio system the via Bluetooth the track info changes with every new song in the stream. Thanks for your fast replies btw! andrewilley
Do you have an example stream URL, all the ones I use have static station logos. [Edit] Ah, you meant Title/Artist text fields, not the station logo, my misunderstanding. Andre
automp
e.g. http://62.75.215.7:8320/stream It's a stream of this station: http://ekrdigital.com/rock-radio/
andrewilley
I've not run online streams in the car before (too data hungry) but I just tried it now, and in both Bluetooth and Android Auto modes I see the Title and Artist fields change on my Hyundai head-unit every time the song changes. I was listening to http://media-ice.musicradio.com:80/HeartWestMids in case it makes a difference. Andre
automp
Ok - thanks for the feedback. I've tried different streams as well but all seem to stuck with first rrack info sent to the car display. My guess is, that Poweramp is updating the information in the app display itself but not sending the new metadata via bluetooth, as long as the the track doesnt change?! Anyway - i will try to find out if i can fix this with changing some settings in Poweramp or car audio software.
andrewilley
As I said, it's working fine for me. You could try a few settings in case they help, such as Settings > Misc > Metachanged Intent. Not sure if that affects BT though.l Andre
steve buscemi
I fixed my original problem by enabling Settings > Misc > Now Playing List For Connected Devices/Apps. Track info now shows up as expected.
